I had my first solo performance on Nov. 11, 2018 at the Spokane Folk Festival. I had a wonderful audience (my mom, sister, and friends from Sandpoint came), and incredible sound crew. The nice thing about going solo is I get to make up my own set list. Best of all, I had a great time telling stories, playing original and traditional tunes, and performing for the people of Spokane.
This morning, I played the hammer dulcimer at the Gardenia Center in Sandpoint. Many people in the audience had never heard a hammer dulcimer, so I gave a short history of this amazing instrument and then played some holiday music and original tunes. What a great way to spend a Sunday morning.
